PMS is not normal, it is the primary indicator of uterine dysfunction (dysregulated apana vata). Correcting the imbalance prevents further progression of the condition to PCOS, endometriosis, fibroids, DUB and infertility.

It is a much more severe form of PMS where the physical and mental planes are affected. They can be quite effectively managed with Ayurvedic treatment. Symptoms of PMDD appear 2 weeks before menstruation. They can be so severe that women have trouble functioning at home,work and in relationships during this time.
